The ACLJ and the Members of Congress explain in their “friend of the court” briefs that the authorization runs adverse to this Nation’s continued and appreciative attitude of all-around the religious behavior and practices of all its citizens. The authorization imposes an actionable accountability on individuals and organizations, who durably argue accepting to subsidize, provide, and/or facilitate activities and casework that are adverse to their religious beliefs.

The ACLJ’s own lawsuit challenging the HHS authorization is proceeding in federal cloister in St. Louis, Missouri.
